Make a Research Request

Need help finding information? We have library assistants on-staff who can help you with your research. We offer basic research services for patrons who are unable to visit the collection in person. Please limit each request to one specific person or question at a time. Following the same guidelines, additional requests may be submitted after the original request is completed.

Please note that while we assist visitors with their research, we do not complete family trees or compile full family histories. Research requests can be made through our website, in person, or by phone.

Library staff will make every effort to fulfill your request using the materials and resources in our collection within four weeks of receiving it. However, please be aware that the information you seek may not be available in our collection. If we cannot locate the information you need, we will refer you to another organization that may be able to assist.

The Woodford County History Room reserves the right to deny research requests based on their scope, the availability of resources, or other factors. If we cannot complete a request, library staff will inform the requester and, if possible, guide potential next steps.
